Cultivating Talented Individuals

The Fourth Round of the Research and Investigation Support Scheme (spring term of fiscal year 2009) was awarded to thirteen recipients. The institute issued the support scheme to doctoral students conducting fieldwork and presenting their research overseas. The thirteen recipients were selected out of twenty-two applicants through a document screening process made open to students of Waseda University. The scheme provided JPY 0.11 to 0.25 million to each recipient, totaling JPY 2.83 million awarded by the institute.
